MMCC LogoOutside of working with video, our founder, David, is actively involved with a Star Wars costuming group called the Mandalorian Mercs. The Mercs is one of the top four LFL recognized Star Wars costuming groups, participating in convention appearances, personal appearances, parades, hospital visits, and various charity walks. Most recently, the Mercs celebrated the largest gathering of members in one place at Celebration V in Orlando, Florida in August 2010.

BVC logoMercs at CVWhile the Mandalorian Mercs is a world-wide costuming organization, they are broken up into smaller chapters called "clans" (reminicent of the old Scottish tradition). The Florida clan, called the Buurenaar Verda (the "Storm Warriors" in the Mando language) is where David serves as the "Ver'alor" (Lieutenant - or second in command). If you are in the central Flodida area around Christmas time, you can usually catch the BVC marching in the annual Titusville Christmas parade. Check out our Facebook page!

Help A Verd'ika Fund

As for the service aspect of the organization, the Mercs annually raise money for their "Help a Verd'ika" fund. "Verd'ika" means "Little Warrior" in Mando'a, the language of the Mandalorians. The "Help a Verd'ika" fund is one way the Mandalorian Mercs Costuming Club gives to the community. We are always willing to accept donations, and your donation will go directly to the fund where we will use the money collected to buy Star Wars toys to donate to Toys for Tots and other drives. This is one way the Mercs help to sperad the Christmas spirit and allow a new generation of children to enjoy Star Wars.

903rd LogoDavid is also the co-founder and administrator of the 903rd Legion Custom Costuming Group. The 903rd is dedicated to providing a place for custom Star Wars costumers to create and showcase their work. While we are not in competition with any of the other groups (least of all the Mandalorian Mercs), the 903rd gives an additional outlet for Star Wars costumes that may not fall into any other group. Be it Jedi, Sith, Bounty Humter, Imperial, or Rebel...all customs are welcome in the 903rd! Click here to check out the posting board and start your journey towards your own custom Star Wars character!

The Mandalorian Arsenal logoIn his spare time, David also creates costume armor, both custom and canon, for his fellow "geeks." Created under the name "The Mandalorian Arsenal," the stock of vacuum-form molds continues to grow and improve. Be sure to head over to the Mandalorian Arsenal's site to see what David has to offer, and make your request for custom pieces!

The Mandalorian Arsenal is independantly run and operated by Star Wars fans and is not affiliated with LFL or the Mandalorian Mercs. All pieces are created for individual use and no copyright infringement is intended.
