Outside of working with video, our founder, David, is actively involved with a Star Wars costuming group called the Mandalorian Mercs. The Mercs is one of the top four LFL recognized Star Wars costuming groups, participating in convention appearances, personal appearances, parades, hospital visits, and various charity walks. Most recently, the Mercs celebrated the largest gathering of members in one place at Celebration V in Orlando, Florida in August 2010.

While the Mandalorian Mercs is a world-wide costuming organization, they are broken up into smaller chapters called "clans" (reminicent of the old Scottish tradition). The Florida clan, called the Buurenaar Verda (the "Storm Warriors" in the Mando language) is where David serves as the "Ver'alor" (Lieutenant - or second in command). If you are in the central Flodida area around Christmas time, you can usually catch the BVC marching in the annual Titusville Christmas parade. Check out our Facebook page!
David is also the co-founder and administrator of the 903rd Legion Custom Costuming Group. The 903rd is dedicated to providing a place for custom Star Wars costumers to create and showcase their work. While we are not in competition with any of the other groups (least of all the Mandalorian Mercs), the 903rd gives an additional outlet for Star Wars costumes that may not fall into any other group. Be it Jedi, Sith, Bounty Humter, Imperial, or Rebel...all customs are welcome in the 903rd! In his spare time, David also creates costume armor, both custom and canon, for his fellow "geeks." Created under the name "The Mandalorian Arsenal," the stock of vacuum-form molds continues to grow and improve. Be sure to head over to the Mandalorian Arsenal's site to see what David has to offer, and make your request for custom pieces!
